Climate Chamber

A walk-in climate chamber with a usable interior space of about 40 m³ is used for air-conditioning simulations between -40 °C and 80 °C at a high humidity variability and fast reaction time. This setup enables a wide bandwidth of air-conditioning simulations (without solar simulator). Building technology systems can be evaluated under practical conditions in combination with two test chambers ("climate chamber laboratory"). Therefore, extensive measurement, data collection and process automation systems are provided.

  • Performance test series for building technology systems, especially facade-integrated air-conditioning technology as well as electrically and thermally powered heat pumps or cooling units

  • Indoor climate simulations in two climate chambers, which are adjacent to the walk-in climate chamber, a so-called double-climate chamber

  • Performance test series of electric vehicles under summer and winter conditions
